We're bringing back healthier hometowns
Mobile.Clinic brings the clinic to the community.
A van is set up as a clinic and drives to the people who need care. People do not have to travel to a clinic. The clinic travels to them.
What we believe
Help that shows up
When a bucket truck is zooming down the street, you know it is going to fix something. We want a Mobile.Clinic on the side of a van to read the same way. In a sense, a public utility: something local you can count on.
Hometowns first
We built this for rural and semi-rural places, not downtown cores. Big city centers have many places to get care. Smaller towns often have fewer choices close by. That is where a mobile clinic can help.
Nobody carries the fleet alone
Mobile care is usually run from the top down, by a hospital or a nonprofit system. Owning a fleet on your own brings real risk and real frustration. Our program is built to take that weight off your plate, so you can focus on patients.
How it started
For the past 5 years, our Mobile.Clinic fleet has grown from coffeeshop concept, to pilot program, to successful platform.
Step 1. Coffeeshop concept
Step 2. Pilot program
Step 3. Successful platform
In July 2021, OnRequest announced its first mobile exam clinic. It was built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis with medical-grade equipment, and it could connect patients to telehealth.
The idea behind it is an old one. Doctors and nurses made house calls when your grandma needed to be seen. We take yesterday's house call and update it into a repeatable experience patients truly love.
Who runs a Mobile.Clinic program
People come to mobile care from many places. Here is who we expect to hear from.
A nurse practitioner or other clinician
Often the first person we picture.
An entrepreneur who wants to make a difference
Someone who wants to build something that serves their own community.
A nonprofit or shelter
A group, like a youth shelter, that already serves its neighbors.
A hospital or health system
A health system that wants to reach further into the communities it serves.
An existing mobile program
A clinic whose van is costly to run, or that is short on people to build partnerships or to drive.
Does your existing clinic need support?
This is not a test, and it does not tell you whether you qualify. Who can own or run a program depends on your state and on how the program is set up. The details come with the program's disclosure documents. A conversation is where we sort that out together.
